Kyrin Hobson is an interdisciplinary painter concerned with embodiment, Black feminisms, and practices of Afro-Diasporic cultural continuity.

  • A discursive project of painting in response to interviews about women’s experiences of gynecologic and reproductive health, FAB Womb creates a safe space to visceralize women’s health data.

  • An ongoing body of figurative paintings that build worlds around memory, spiritual practice, and the specifics of cultural longing.

  • A suite of paintings, objects and activations to be combined and recombined to propose stories of how bodies, lives and struggles interlace over or through fluids.

  • Works exploring data visceralization to humanize how we encounter information about women’s reproductive health. This project is developed in dialogue with Black midwives and centers their voices and practices.
